About Chronicle

Chronicle is a personal operational journal about Linux engineering, infrastructure, SELinux, identity systems, open source work, and the practical decisions behind technical systems.

Technical decisions often look obvious in hindsight. Chronicle explores the reasoning behind them: the tradeoffs, constraints, failures, and lessons learned while building and maintaining systems over time. Episodes combine long-form writing with audio narration to document the work that happens between project announcements and final outcomes.

Chronicle is written and produced by Naoki Tanaka, a Linux engineer and SELinux developer with interests in operating systems, access control, infrastructure, and identity systems.
